Todays poster of the day is a My Chemical Romance poster. This is the only MCR poster we have from this American rock band, but it is an awesome one. The band´s current members are Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Frank Iero, Ray Toro and Bob Bryar.

My Chemical Romance is a recent band, formed in 2001, and their first album, Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, was released in 2002. The album sold over 1 million copies and was a huge success. The band followed with another album in 2006, The Black Parade, and recently released a live DVD filmed in Mexico City.

Today´s poster is from Aerosmith, which was one of my favorite bands when I was a few years younger

Aerosmith is an American band from Boston, formed in 1970. They are sometimes also referred to as “the Bad Boys from Boston”. Some of the band´s most known members are guitarist Joe Perry and lead singer Steven Tyler.

The album that first bought national attention to Aerosmith was “Toy in the Attic” , which was first released in 1975. Due to lots of internal issues, the bad was forgotten during most of the 80´s, and only returned in 1987 with the “Permanent Vacation” album, followed by the equally successful “Pump” and “Get a Grip”.

Aerosmith is the best selling American hard rock band of all time.

Nickelback was originally started by Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger, Ryan Peake and Brandon Kroeger (no longer with the band) in Alberta Canada. Nickelback is one of the most popular post-grunge genre bands. The band´s name originates from the expression band member Mike Kroeger used when he worked at Starbucks, “Here’s your nickel back”, in reference to the change he gave customers.

The poster is from Nickelback´s third album, Silver Side Up, the bands first truly successful album. The most popular single in the album is “How you remind me”.

Today´s poster is a Tupac Shakur poster. The American rapper was born on June 16th 1971 and died an early death on September 13th 1996. He was 25.

Along with a top selling artist, Tupac Shakur was also a film actor and prominent social activist. Most of Tupac Shakur´s songs are are about growing up amid violence and hardship, racism, social problems and conflicts with fellow rappers. In his songs he advocates political, social and racial equality. He is recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the best selling rap artist of all time.

Tupac Shakur survived being shot 5 times in New York in 1994. He did however not survive being shot 4 times in September of 1996 in a drive by shooting. He was pronounced dead 6 days later.
